Anne M. Valentine, partner in the Columbus-based Law Firm Leeseberg Tuttle, officially became the new president of the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers during the organizations annual convention May 11, 2000. Ms. Valentine is the first woman to be elected president of the Academy.
Valentine says as president of the OATL she will strive to assure the citizens of Ohio that their families will continue to be protected both in the work place and in their personal lives. To this end, she and the OATL intend to stay active at the Statehouse, monitoring legislation that may affect the lives of clients.
Valentine and the OATL endorsed Justice Alice Resnick in her successful campaign for re-election to the Ohio Supreme Court. “As a member of the Ohio Supreme Court for nearly 12 years, we believe Alice Resnick has served the citizens of Ohio with integrity and distinction. She has consistently voted in favor of protecting the constitutional rights of ordinary citizens. “
Anne Valentine has been an active member of the OATL, previously serving as vice-president, treasurer, and on the Governing Board of Trustees.
