You are a formidable opponent-probably the best I have ever faced. If you and I don’t try another case again, I will live a lot longer.
We’ve had cases against each other for a long time and I think that you are a terrific lawyer, but I wanted to tell you that I thought that your work for the H. family was as good as I’ve seen you do. It was thoughtful, diligent and clever, and although I could certainly never be sure of which direction you were going to go for sure, there were lots of issues, some not nearly as immediately recognizable as others, that I found myself having to anticipate and prepare to respond to. It was a tough and intriguing case all around, more so than most NF cases, but I was sincerely impressed. I could even say, if I wanted to get carried away, that I thought your work credited our profession. (Don’t ever tell anyone I said that!) Nice job. I know that you really wanted to accomplish something good for your clients, and I’m happy for them and particularly for BH.
As I have always said to you, your office, and anyone else who would ask or listen, that I always knew this case was in good hands,…the best hands possible. I always felt there was a reason my husband would always point you out at the Blue Jackets games. I took it as his way of letting me know you were the right guy for this difficult task. You, Craig and Anne could not have done more. Your tireless effort could not be more appreciated. You all helped me accomplish what I wanted to accomplish, my husband got his day in court and someone admitted some culpability. The money, I hoped, would make them remember my husband’s/ name and hoped that maybe their system would change so that nobody else had to go through this. The money wasn’t going to bring my husband back or put our lives back together. The completion of the case now allows my children and me to put the past five years in a box, put it away and try to move on to happier times.
Please pass on my truest thanks and gratitude to Craig and Anne.
